Launching Hope
After just over a year working on the ground in Bali, Akademi Kristus (AK) has officially launched its presence in Australia!
On 15 October, almost 100 guests attended Launching Hope, the official corporate launch of AK.
The event was a resounding success and, thanks to the generosity of our guests, $8,645 was raised for AK operations in Bali.
There was a huge amount of behind-the-scenes work involved in Launching Hope, and on behalf of the AK team we’d especially like to thank:
- All of the businesses and individuals who donated items for the silent auction – your willingness to get involved in Launching Hope touched us, and we’re looking forward to collaborating with you further in the future.
- Our MC Mia Kafieris and entertainers Lachlan and Anna Waters – thank you for giving your time and expertise to ensure our guests had an amazing and memorable evening.
- The Mule Shed, North Geelong, for providing a Launching Hope venue and delicious food.
- The volunteers who helped set up, pack up and coordinate Launching Hope on the night – we couldn’t have done this without you.
- Our guests – thank you for your generosity towards our vision to see lives changed for youth living in the slums of Bali.
We’ve been blown away by the support of everyone who attended on the night, and all those who made donations online. It was incredible to see guests share the passion and excitement our AK team has to empower Indonesian youth.
